A full developmental edit might be the right service for you if you have a completed manuscript and are ready for comprehensive, detailed feedback through an editorial letter and in-margin comments throughout your manuscript. If you’ve revised on your own but your manuscript isn’t quite where you want it to be, a developmental edit could be just what you need!

What is included in a developmental edit?

• A 60-minute Zoom call (or email if you prefer) to talk about your goals, wants, needs, etc.

• Two full read-throughs of your manuscript

• A comprehensive editorial letter that addresses strengths and areas of improvement, with examples from the text and specific suggestions about how to strengthen the manuscript.

• In-margin comments throughout the manuscript for more detailed thoughts, examples, and suggestions. (I do these in-margin notes in Microsoft Word’s Track Changes, so please know that if you purchase this service your manuscript needs to be formatted as a Word document.)

• A 60-minute follow-up Zoom call to review and discuss next steps.
