A First 50 Critique might be the right service for you if you want to know if your manuscript is heading in the right direction, or if you are stuck in the middle of your manuscript. It is also a great choice if you are happy with most of your story, but one piece just isn’t clicking. I have two First 50 Critique options to choose from: the first is a global critique assessing all parts of your story through the first 50 pages, while the second is focused on one particular area of your choice, such as characterization, pacing, or point of view.

An editorial letter assessing the strengths and areas for improvement of your manuscript, with additional focus on the elements that are important to the beginning of a novel (ex. a compelling opening, if/where the manuscript loses momentum, what characters and plot points I’d be excited to seeing more of, etc).
