A manuscript evaluation may be for you if you have a finished manuscript and are ready for comprehensive feedback on the big-picture elements of your story. Maybe you’re not quite ready for the level of detail that a developmental edit provides, or maybe your writing shines at the sentence level and you just need help with the big picture. This is also a great option if you’ve gotten feedback from beta readers that you don’t know how to implement (or aren’t sure what feedback to apply and what to ignore).

What is included in a manuscript evaluation?

• A 30-minute Zoom call (or email if you prefer) to talk about your goals, wants, needs, etc.

• A full read through of your manuscript

• A comprehensive editorial letter that addresses strengths and areas of improvement, with examples from the text and specific suggestions about how to strengthen the manuscript. There will be no in-margin comments on the manuscript itself.

• A 30-minute follow-up Zoom call to review and discuss next steps.
